The man who led police on a more than ten hour search throughout Washington County prior to his capture...appeared in court Thursday.
Washington County sheriff's deputies arrested 39-year old Jerry Raines just before midnight Wednesday.
Raines ran from deputies Wednesday as they attempted to serve him warrants at his Little Hocking home.
The sheriff's office is also investigating whether charges should be brought against 40-year old Tonya Powers, a woman believed to be his long-time companion...who previously has been charged with harboring a fugitive.
"We're looking into this aspect of it right now," said Sheriff Larry Mincks, "conducting an investigation to see if there is sufficient evidence to warrant charges being filed against her, and I'm sure that information will be sent forward to the prosecutor."
Raines faces several felony charges in Gallia and Lawrence counties... including failing to register as a sex offender and violating the terms of his probation.
At an arraignment Thursday afternoon...bond was not set on only two of the charges, because of his fugitive status in those other counties.
