A Wood County man is without a home as fire swept through his trailer Wednesday morning.

The fire started a little after 8:30 a.m. at Meadowbrook Acres Mobile Home Park off of Route 95 in Wood County.

Lubeck volunteer firefighters say when they arrived the home was already fully involved, with flames coming out both sides and from underneath the trailer.

Neighbors who saw those flames had an immediate concern for the man living there.

"I was wondering if the old man was still in there. That's his room where it was on fire the most. That's where he sleeps. When I first noticed it was on fire I didn't know if he was in there or not," Gilbert Webb, a neighbor, said.

The man living in the trailer did make it out safely and hasn't reported any injuries.

His name has not yet been released, and firefighters say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
