The Community Action Bus Lines of Washington County gave its customers a free ride today.
"Ride The Bus Day" was all part of an effort to encourage more people to take the bus wherever they need to go.
While the bus system often attracts elderly and low-income riders, its manager says that, during it's operating hours Monday through Friday, it's available to everyone.
"We have a tendency to show more elderly, and that's why we're trying to get the publicity out that this is for everyone," says Darla Johnson, Transportation Director for Washington-Morgan Community Action. "These buses run on a fixed route every hour, and anyone is welcome to ride."
Buses run between 7 A.M. and 4 P.M. Monday through Friday.
