Kester L. Nichols, 70, of Cairo, passed away at his residence April 30, 2008. He was born in Ritchie County, a son of the late Clyde R. Nichols and Alice I. (Midcaff) Nichols.
Kester retired from RJF International (formerly B. F. Goodrich) after 27 years service. He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, especially with his family having cookouts and relaxing at the family farm.
Surviving are three daughters: Petite "Pete" Shultz of Harrisville, Tamara "Tammy" Longfellow of Harrisville and Danella "Danny" Ross of Cairo, three sisters: Sharon Hubert of Harrisville, Carolyn Pierson of Alliance, OH and Shirley Jonas ofCairo, a brother John Paul Nichols of Kentucky; and 3 grandchildren, Jasmin Ross, Ian Ross and Brady Shultz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bonita (Chapman) Nichols in 2002.
Following Mr. Nichols' wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. His cremated remains will be scattered on the family farm in Ritchie County at a later date.
A luncheon and time of fellowship for family and friends will be held at the Community Building in Cairo, WV May 17, 2008 at 12:30 PM.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
