Margaret J. Shaffer Robertson, 85, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Little Hocking, Ohio passed away Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee.
She was born July 23, 1922, in Reedsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Forrest D. and Glenna M. Bailey Shaffer. Margaret had previously worked for the U.S. Government having worked for the Agency for International Development State Department in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Postal Service, the Bureau of Public Debt and the Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Lynn Robertson and Randall Eugene Robertson, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Joann Sickles of Nelsonville, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bud” Robertson; two daughters, Karen Ruth Robertson Hendrix and Kathleen Lorraine Harden; two brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with the Reverend David Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
