Coleman Barnhart, 71, of St. Marys, WV, died May 4, 2008, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. He was born May 17, 1936, in Pleasants County, WV, a son of the late Herman H. and Lize Lucinda Elder Barnhart. He had been a self-employed mechanic, repairing small engines. During his early years, he had been a truck driver and had been a service station attendant. He had been a mechanic with Kern’s Brothers Trucking.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Ethel Hickel Barnhart, two sons, Richard C. Barnhart and Herman C. Barnhart both of St. Marys, WV, four step daughters, Patty Wells of St. Marys, WV, Lisa Boyles of Parkersburg, WV, Mary Boley of Belmont, WV, and Carolyn Boley of Parkersburg, WV, nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Rosmand Boley and one brother, George Barnhart.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 11 A. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Edgar Satterfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery.
