James Norman Diehl 78, of Reno, OH, died Friday May 2, 2008, at Louis A. Johnson VA Hospital at Clarksburg, WV. He was born August 21, 1929, at Macksburg, OH, to the late John Richard and Charlotte Irene Dyer Diehl.
He was a member of Garrett Wykoff Lodge #285 F.&A.M. Lima, OH, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Washington County Scottish Rite Club, American Legion Post #64, V.F.W. Post #5108. He was a veteran of WWII.
Survived by one daughter Kathy Spears and one granddaughter Alexia Spear both of Scottsdale, Arizona. there are two grandsons, one great grandson, one brother Robert Paul Diehl and his wife of Marysville, OH.
Special friends Dale Farnsworth family of Marietta, OH.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one brother John Richard Diehl and his lone time friend Hilda Cline.
Memorial services will be held Saturday May 10, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel 1021 Pike Street, Marietta, OH, with Rev. Don Archer officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to services on Saturday.
Mr. Diehl was cremated at his request.
