Norman Thomas Matlack, 72, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away May 4, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Justin and Bessie Smith Matlack. He graduated in 1953 from Parkersburg High School, served in the U.S. Navy and graduated in 1973 from Mt. State Business College. During his career, he worked for the Nabisco Co., was an Archway Distributor, retired with 25 years of service with Public Debt, was owner/operator of Kaylie Concessions and was a Methodist by faith.
Norman is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ardyce Martin Matlack; four children, Julia Gillespy of Parkersburg, W.Va., Jeffrey Matlack and his wife, Carrie, of Winter Park, Fla., Jayne Kinney and her husband, Scott, of St. Leonard, Md., and John Matlack and his wife, Tina, of Vienna, W.Va.; two brothers, Dwight Matlack and his wife, Kathi, of Vienna, W.Va. and David Matlack and his wife, Diana, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Adam and Kaylie Gillespy, Ben, Turner and Jenny Matlack, Justin and Billy Kinney and Jacob and Olivia Matlack; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Curry; and his special pet, Cody.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna.
