Homer V. Anderson, 75, of State Route 145, Lower Salem, Ohio, died at Marietta Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 7:09 pm.
He was born on July 20, 1932, in Noble County a son of George Anderson and Evelyn Poling Anderson. He was employed as a machinist at Dana Corporation in Caldwell for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
On December 10, 1955, he married Wyona Wilson Anderson who preceded him in death on January 28, 2008.
Homer is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Vernon Anderson of Lower Salem, Jerry (Christy) Anderson of Lower Salem, Linda (Ken) Fagan of Lower Salem and Loretta (Daniel Liedtke of Beverly, 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are 5 sisters: Alice (Paul) Hicks of Caldwell, Pauline Woomer of Waterford, Geneva Wittenbrook of Caldwell, Bonnie Miller of Ava, Ohio, and Wanda Gildow of Caldwell and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter Laura Anderson; 4 sisters: Vivian Labarre, Winona McKune, Cuba Davis, Ruth Bond; 3 brothers: George Leonard Anderson, Lloyd Anderson, and John Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Salem Township Cemetery with full military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Monday afternoon at 2:00 until the hour of the service. Family will be present from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8.
