Ruby M. Davis, 90, of Parkersburg, formerly of Charleston, passed away on Wednesday October 27, 2009 at Camden - Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born in Charleston on July 14, 1919, one of nine children of the late Ernest and Ardena Moore McCutcheon. Ruby had worked for Heck's in Charleston for fourteen years and had been active with Mt. Mission church prior to moving to Parkersburg. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed gardening. Ruby is survived by her three children, Lytis Davis Jr. (Judy) of Mobile, AL, Connie Stowers of Aurora, OH, Preston Davis (Lou Ann) of Parkesburg, Bob Davis (Ruth) of Poca, WV and eight grandchildren who were the light of her life Lisa George, Andrew Davis, Kelli DeMicco, Vince Davis, Jennifer Kahrl, Jessica Ramos, Robby Davis, Kevin Davis, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her former husband Lytis Davis, son in law Edgar Stowers, eight brothers and sisters Mary Reedy, Joe McCutcheon, Martha Hanshaw, Ernie McCutcheon, Earl McCutcheon, Chester McCutcheon Hayes McCutcheon, Ruth Scraggs. The funeral service will be at 11 am Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkesburg with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Jenkins Cemetery of Charleston.
