Nandor "Andy" Ivan, 70 of Parkersburg, passed away October 31, 2009 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Budapest, Hungary, a son of the late Joseph and Rachel Ivan. Andy came to America during the Hungarian Revolutionary War. He lived and worked in New Jersey before coming to West Virginia. He was retired from the Construction business and enjoyed bowling. Andy was a member of the Senior League at Emerson. Surviving is his loving wife of 45 years, Julie (Ternovsky) Ivan, daughters Vickie Ivan Henderson and Suzanne Ivan of Parkersburg, son Joseph Nandor Ivan and his wife Michelle of Cliffwood Beach, NJ and granddaughters Kayla and April Ivan of New Jersey. In keeping with Andy's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
