William Randall McConaha, 56, of Parkersburg, W.Va., lost his battle with cancer on Nov. 5, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 21, 1953, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Leslie P. and Mary Curfman McConaha. He was a member of Living Word Ministry in Newark, W.Va. and he was an over-the-road truck driver for 35 years with the last seven years at DeBarr Trucking in Parkersburg. He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Nelia McConaha; his stepmother, Betty N. McConaha of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three daughters, Wendy (Richard) Riel and Rebecca (Robert) Dixon, both of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Pam (Brian) Wilday of Carlisle, Pa.; two sons, Tim (Jackie) Alkire of Greenwood, W.Va. and Mike (Joyce) Smith of Lancaster, Ohio; three granddaughters, Priscilla, Jessica and Davis; four grandsons, Brian, Brandon, Quentin and Austin; two brothers, Roger (Sharon) McConaha of Ripley, W.Va. and David McConaha of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three sisters, Rosalie Mahoney and Wanda (Steve) Tatman, both of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Susie (John) Johnston of Cincinnati, Ohio; one stepsister, Patty Earle; two stepbrothers, Denton Earle, William Earle; several nieces and nephews; and he had a very special friend, Kenneth (Jeannie) Johnston of Belpre, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles "Butch" McConaha. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Tim Kemp officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A special thanks to Hospice.
