William Arthur "Art" McIntyre, 64 of Coolville, OH. passed away November 12, 2009 at the St. Josephs Hospital. He was born in Marietta, OH, the son of the late Earl Leslie and Eudora Lint McIntyre. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had worked as a Boiler Maker for many years. He was a member of the Coolville Masonic Lodge #337. He was an avid horseman and horse lover, a Spotted Saddle Horse Inspector and a commissioner with the Racking Horse Association. He at one time bred horses having owned five stallions at one time. He raised a Colt named "Hiram" from the bottle until it was full grown. "Hiram" became ill and also passed away on November 12, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia L. "Pat" Roush McIntyre of Coolville, OH; His Children, John McIntyre of Spencer, WV. Brenda Mitchem of Jacksonville, FL. Gary Warne of Coolville, OH. and Mark Warne Whipple, OH. His Grandchildren, Travis, John and kati McIntyre, T.J. Gaughan, Amber Littleton and Jessica and Jennifer Smith. His Great Grandson, Christopher Taylor. His Brothers, Earl "Butch" McIntyre of Marietta, George McIntyre of Williamstown. His Sisters, Donna and Rita Fisher both of Williamstown. He was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, David and Jack McIntyre and a special sister in law, Dorothy McIntyre. There will be no visitation and a service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
