Laura Ellen Hayhurst, 64 of Parkersburg, passed away February 1, 2010 at her residence. She was born September 21, 1945, a daughter of the late Luther Earl Hayhurst and Carrie (Gunter) Hayhurst. Laura was a retired school teacher. She taught at Nitro High School for the Kanawha County School System. Surviving is a brother Larry Hayhurst of Parkersburg, sister Janet Gentry of Belpre and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Karen Chenoweth. Memorial services will be Saturday 1PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, 403 Seventh Street, Parkersburg with Pastor Mike Towner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Family and friends are welcome at 809 Morgan Avenue, Belpre immediately following services.
