Carrie Belva Meder, 99 of Parkersburg, passed away February 3, 2010 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born and raised at Brohard, Wirt County, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Anna Mae (Roberts) Kemp. Mrs. Meder worked for the American Viscose while attending Mountain State Business College. She served in the military 1942-43 and worked for the Veteran's Administration for many years in D. C. She retired from the Riggs Natonal Bank in DC after 25 years service. Belva was a member of the South Parkersburg United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters: Vera Wilson of Parkersburg and Patricia Brewer of Brooksville, FL, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and sister Mae Beckett of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Wolfe Meder in 1986, two brothers Alfred and Harrison Kemp and two sisters Helen Kemp and Wilma Fox. Funeral services will be Saturday 3PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
