A. Glenn Aver, 75, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1934 in Dunnville, Canada a son of the late Stanford and Gwynneth Irvine Aver. He served in the Canadian Air Force and was a United Methodist by faith. Glenn retired from Ingersol-Rand of Farmington Hills, Michigan. He was an avid golfer, a former bowler and enjoyed playing Bridge. Glenn was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge in Parkersburg. He enjoyed volunteering for the Fraternal Order of Police, The Wood County Sheriff’s Office and the local Veterans Service Office. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Loretta Grecco Aver; one son, Terry Aver of British Columbia; one step-daughter ,Valerie Corbin (Rick) of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, Ted Aver (Karen) of Toronto, Canada, and Darrell Aver (Penny) of Ajax, Canada. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son Louis J. Petronio. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Chaplain David Kaufman officiating.
