| Edna Brown Newcomer, 87, of Parkersburg, died September 5, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born December 31, 1919 in Uniontown, PA a daughter of the late Harry S. and Nellie Scott Brown. She was a homemaker, member of Grace Gospel Church and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at Ohio Valley Nursing Home. She is survived by her son Leonard J. Newcomer of Parkersburg; daughter, Shirley L. Mace of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Newcomer; daughter, Carolyn Dennewitz; grandson, Larry E. Dennewitz, II; infant brother, Wendell Brown; three sisters, Dorothy Jordan, Margaret Vaji and Hazel Llewllyn. Services will be Saturday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
