Youngsters at Criss Elementary School Tuesday got some lessons on what it's like to enter "The Final Frontier".
Columbus-based COSI was at the school, as part of its "Science to Schools" program.
A series of education stations explained how astronauts live and functioned in space ships.
"It breaks up the monotony of the school day," says Lori Williamson, Vice-President of the school's parent-teacher association. "They get to come in, they get to learn. I don't think it's by any means taking away from the learning experience of the school. They get to learn in a different way."
Demonstrations ranged from chemical experiments to the effects of each planet's gravitational pull on human weight.
