The Parkersburg Big Red women's tennis team secured their 16th state title in the school's history after narrowly defeating George Washington in a tie-breaker.
Alex Buch won the No. 1 seed championship in straight sets 6-2 6-1, while Lakin Whitlatch won the No. 4 seed title in three sets 7-5 4-6 6-0.
Bush and Paige Hathaway finished 2nd in the No. 1 seed doubles final, while Whitlatch and Goldie Preston came out victorious in the No. 2 seed doubles final 7-5 6-3
The PHS boys had two runners-up, No. 2 - Teddy Daub and No. 3 Jawn Smith
Parkersburg South's No. 2 seed doubles team of Logan Richards and Josh Wise finished 2nd overall.
PHS boys finished third overall.
