An area track star will spend his college years close to home in Athens.
Tyler Cantley from Warren high school has accepted a track scholarship from Ohio University.
He signed his letter of intent with the Bobcats this afternoon at Warren high school.
He had a stellar career for the Warriors both in track and cross country.
Before he was done, Tyler owned the school record in the mile and the 32 hundred meters. Plus he was part of the record setting 4 by 800 relay.
He will be picking them up and putting them down for the Bobcats next fall.
