Parkersburg South successfully defended its Wood County Recreational League girls basketball championship.

The Patriots opened up a lead by halftime and never gave it up on their way to a 52-43 victory of the Tigers.

Mary Seagraves led South with 17 points, while Paige Lamb topped Marietta with 15.
