Hey Virginia, if you were offended by Abby's comments, then I feel badly for you. Grow a thicker skin. It's called "satire," maybe you should go get an education before you start running your mouth. Clearly you don't understand humor and I'd hate to live with you. Shut your mouth woman and get in the kitchen!!!

this whole thing is a joke, we all know PHS has always had more support from the community, and yep I couln't help but notice that PHS made sure that they looked the best, my question is of all the games that could have been shown on national tv on espn classics why did they pick that one...oh i know we got to make PHS look good...and by the way they have been a school for nearly 100 years so no wonder you have so many titles!!! stop bragging!!! but honestly if we didn't argue which side of the river is the best then what would we have to do with our time?

i think abby did a great job in sports tonight! her comment about the election didn't even reflect her political views necesasarily, it was a joke trying to better explain how the competition works. how about you try to get in the sports chair when you are supposed to be doing weather and we'll see how you do. lighten up.

I was very offended by Abby's comment about popular vote and the 2000 election on tonights news. It's sports, keep your opinion about politics to yourself.

grow up.

SOME OF YOU PEOPLE FROM SOUTH NEED TO GROW UP AND QUIT WHINING. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR YEARS AND MOST OF THE KIDS FROM BOTH SCHOOLS GET ALONG FINE. HOWEVER, A FEW BABIES HAVE TO KEEP WHINING BECAUSE PHS HAS SO MANY TITLES. PARKERSBURG SOUTH ALSO HAS HAD A LOT OF TITLES AND THOSE WERE THERE TOO. SHAME ON YOU.

I think if we really wanted the community to get behind Title Town as a entire community effort, we would have represented each school equally. As usual we spent 90 percent of our effort beating the BIG RED drum with a spattering of PCHS and PSHS thrown in . Same ol same ol stuff. Having Hayden be Souths so called representative was a slap in the face of South fans. Hes a big red all the way. One day hopefully we will have a non-bias media outlet of some sort here in Parkersburg. Have you ever noticed that anytime the WTAP or the Parkersburg news mention PSHS and PHS together in any form , PHS come first evey time? Same ol same ol stuff. D.B.

I am a little shocked at the comment about WTAP covering mostly PHS,...well I happened to attend the Titletown event, and was extemely disapppointed that there could have been many many more PSHS fans in attendance. It clearly would seem that PHS got more recogonition, due to the lack of PSHS fans at the rally. We all need to remember this was not a competition between schools on this particular day, we were all there as a whole representing our city! Together all 3 schools has made this an AWESOME experience!!!!!!! Can't we all just enjoy the success of these athletes, and let the rilvary rest!

We loved the segments we are so proud. To see all of Parkersburg united "awesome".

Typical South comments. If they had any kind of participation we could have filled the stadium. Catholic had as many people and were twice as enthusiastic as South. We had a chance to really prove something but the typical I'm against PHS, mentality came through in true fashion by South. PHS and Catholic comes out wearing their football jerseys, South comes out wearing grey South football t-shirts some with sleeves and sides cut out....nice touch for a national audience.

I cant believe that someone talk about how WTAP trashes South. WHO CARES. ESPN made a great story w/ ALL 3 schools equally. Thats all that matters. We are all from Parkersburg. I went to PHS. I am now no longer in our country and running into ppl from all 3 schools and do u think I give a crap about if someone from Catholic Or South is in the foxhole w/ me?

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 23, 2008 at 11:48 AM
What do you South fans want? ESPN aired a game on Wednesday South VS. PHS. OOPS!! Sorry that South lost that game against PHS AGAIN!!!! It was your choice not to live on the North side of town.

South Who?

Posted by: Patty Location: Mineral Wells on Jul 23, 2008 at 10:04 AM
Typical WTAP to only show PHS instead of South. I have watching this go on for 20 years, enough is enough
