A year ago the Parkersburg South Patriots were halfway through a winless season.

This year is a different story coach John Bolen and his players are starting to see their hard work pay off where it counts: in the win column.

They have put together a 4-2 record and have and have climbed all the way to 12th place in the West Virginia Class AAA football ratings.

They've grown as as team and they're winnig as a team

The 2008 season has been both a humbling and a learning experience for the Parkersburg Big Reds.
They came in with the label of 2 time defending champion. But each year a team has to esbtablish its own identity

After 3 straight losses to open the season, the Big Reds didn't pack it in...They worked harder, got better, and are giving themselves a chance to make the playoffs and defend their championship.

They've reeled off 3 wins in a row and have done it impressive fashion. And now they're looking to continue to grow and keep the momentum going.
