The Wirt County Tigers are one victory away from winning the West Virginia Class A volleyball championship for the 4th year in a row.

In Friday's semifinal round, the Tigers swept Charleston Catholic in 3 games to advance to the title game. Earlier in the day, Wirt opened the competition with a 3-0 sweep of Doddridge County.

The Williamstown Yellowjackets won their first match with East Hardy 3-1. But the Yellowjackets tournament quest ended in the semifinals when Greater Beckley Christian defeated them 3-0.
