(AP) -- The Super Bowl Champion Steelers will play five night games for the second season in a row, including their first two at home. But they have only one Monday night game.
The Steelers will play twice on Thursday night, starting with the previously announced Sept. 10 NFL season opener at home against Tennessee, and twice on Sunday night, but their only Monday night appearance is Mov. 9 at Denver -- the game after their bye week.
They also didn't play a Monday night home game the last time they were coming off a Super Bowl victory, in 2006.
The Steelers' schedule, announced Tuesday night, appears to be far less strenuous than that of a season ago. Last seaspon, their opponents included the Giants, Cowboys, Colts, Patriots, Eagles and Redskins. This season, the weaker AFC West replaces the AFC South and the NFC Central replaces the NFC East on their schedule..
