WTAP Sports Parkersburg South defeats Tyler Consolidated in the Wood County Recreation Commission Summer League basketball championship.

Parkersburg South is the 2009 Wood County Recreation Comission Summer League basketball champion.
The Patriots broke open a close game midway through the first half and powered their way to a 78-48 victory.
South big man Chase Fieler led the way with a 17 point effort, and he was a force on the boards as well
Matt Emerick added 13 points and Michael Molinari chipped in with 9 points.
