WTAP Sports Parkersburg high wins the WV Class AAA Boys Soccer Championship for the second year in a row and for the fourth time in the last 5 years

The Parkersburg Big Reds have won the West Virginia Boys Class AAA Soccer champions for the second year in a row and for the 4th time in the last 5 years.
Saturday morning in Beckley, the Big Reds prevailed over Woodrow Wilson 2-0 in a hard fought, and physical, championship match.
George Capel gave the Big Reds the lead in the first half as he beat the Woodrow Wilson keeper at the 11:41 mark in the first half.
Brian Runyon added an insurance goal in the second half with a right footer into the left corner of the goal to make it a 2-0 game
Big Reds keeper Spencer Griffey made numerous saves to get the shutout in goal for Parkersburg
Parkersburg has now won 6 boys soccer championships, more than any school in the state
