One of West Virginia's top tennis players is getting to play the sport that she loves for a state university

This afternoon Alex Bush officially accepted a scholarship off from West Virginia University.

Alex, with here family and friends looking on, signed her letter of intent accepting the scholarship offer.

Mountaineer tennis coach Marc Walters is getting a good one

In her career at PHS alex has won 88 singles matches and a number 1 singles State Championship.

She is destined to be the first 100 singles match winner in the history of parkersburg high. And she's won 95% of her double matches as well.

Alex gets the decision out of the way early so she can concentrate on her senior season with the Big Reds next spring.

Then next fall she will be the newest member of the West Virginia Mountaineer tennis team.
