The 1st annual "Peace, Love, & Flip Flop" gymnastics meet hosted by Gymniks at the Elite Sports Center.

This weekend Gymniks Gymnastics hosted the "Peace, Love & Flip Flop" meet held at the Elite Sports Center.

Gymnasts of all ages competed in this weekend's meet from Level 3 to Level 10 and Elite.

The level 7's stole the show taking first place in the team totals. Hayleigh Robinson, Lauren Maloney, Faith Donze, Nacaida Kerns, Sarah Bever, Catherine West, Taylor Broadwater, Amanda Ferguson and Danielle Sandy had their hand in that victory.

The Level 8's took 2nd place...Syndey Chapman, Mckenzie Allen and Chelsie Kapple posted scores for Gymniks.

And finally the Level 9's took third place with the help of Elena Lawson and Olivia Brannan.

At Level 10, Beth Deal a senior at Parkersburg South took first place on vault, beam, floor and the all-round while South Patriot Freshman Jamie Morgan took first on bars and place 2nd in the all-around.

Also on hand tonight was Elite gymnast and Olympic hopeful Kayla Williams from Bohzi's Gym Nest in Huntington.

Williams was named the 2009 National Vault Champion and was the first ever American gymnast to win the World Vault Title. Williams was also the first gymnast since Mary Lou Retton to compete in the U.S. National Championships.

The West Virginia State Meet will be hosted by Gymniks and held at the Elite Sports Center March 19-21.
