Name: Kim Lucey

|
|
Kim Lucey joined the WTAP team as an anchor/producer in January 2008. She grew up just north of Pittsburgh in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
Before coming to WTAP, Kim worked as an associate producer in Pennsylvania's capital city of Harrisburg. During her time there she helped cover stories ranging from an ice storm that crippled Pennsylvania's highway system to the first anniversary of the Amish school shootings in Lancaster. Working on the morning show in Harrisburg was great preparation for the early mornings here at WTAP anchoring Daybreak and WTAP news at noon.
Kim graduated with Distinction from Penn State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and minors in History and International Studies. While in Happy Valley, Kim kept busy by reporting and anchoring for two different newscasts at Penn State: PSN News and the Centre County Report. She also interned at WTAJ in State College. She was also involved with the Penn State dance marathon, the world's largest student run philanthropy.
Kim loves to travel and one of her favorite semesters of college was when she spent a semester living and studying in Barcelona, Spain.
As an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams Kim is excited that she'll be closer to home to root on the Steelers, Penguins, and yes, even the Pirates. When she's not working, Kim enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
