Name: Cathleen Moxley

Cathleen joined the WTAP news team in September 2008 as the Marietta Bureau Reporter.

She grew up in the coalfields of southern West Virginia and graduated cum laude from the W. Paige Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Marshall University.

While in school, Cathleen worked part-time at WSAZ News Channel 3 in Huntington, W.Va. She was also the news director for the campus radio station WMUL, as well as anchoring and reporting for Marshall's student produced television broadcast, MU Report. She also interned at WOWK-TV. During her last year of school, Cathleen was honored to receive the Dustin Opell Reporter of the Year award.

Cathleen also spent her time at Marshall cheering on the Herd as an MU cheerleader.

When she isn't carrying around a camera and a microphone, she enjoys running, hanging out with family and friends and is an avid window shopper!

Cathleen is excited to be a part of the Mid-Ohio Valley and can't wait to tell the stories of those living and working in the area.
