Allison joined the WTAP News Team in August 2007 as the Marietta Bureau Chief. In June of 2008, she proudly accepted the position of anchoring the WTAP at Five and FOX Parkersburg News at Ten newscasts.
Allison grew up in Solon, Ohio - a southeast suburb of Cleveland. Allison is a graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Television/Radio and a minor in Journalism. She considers Marietta her "second home."
Throughout college, Allison worked in the Marietta College news station and had various responsibilities from production to anchor. During her senior year, Allison was the News Director for WCMO-TV and also co-anchored WCMO-TV's daily noon broadcast. Allison is an active member of the National Broadcasting Society and was the Vice President of the Marietta Chapter in her senior year.
Allison completed two internships during college in Cleveland at WJW Fox 8 and at WEWS the ABC affiliate. Although she has always been interested in pursuing a career in TV news, it was during these internships that she truly found her passion for the excitement and fast pace of a newsroom.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys dancing, reading and spending time with friends and teaching a Teen Hip-Hop class at a local dance studio. She is excited to live in the Mid-Ohio Valley and be involved with the community.
