Allison joined the WTAP News Team in August 2007 as the Marietta Bureau Chief. She grew up in Solon, Ohio – a southeast suburb of Cleveland. Allison recently graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Television/Radio with a minor in Journalism, and she considers Marietta her “second home.” Throughout college, Allison worked in the Marietta College news station and had various responsibilities from production to anchor. During her senior year, Allison was the News Director for WCMO-TV, and also co-anchored WCMO-TV’s daily noon broadcast. Allison is an active member of the National Broadcasting Society and was the Vice President of the Marietta Chapter in her senior year. Allison completed two internships during college in Cleveland at WJW Fox 8 and at WEWS the ABC affiliate. Although she has always been interested in pursuing a career in TV news It was during these internships that she truly found her passion for the excitement and fast pace of a newsroom. Outside of work, Allison enjoys dancing, reading, spending time with friends and teaching a Teen Hip-Hop class at a local dance studio. She is excited to return to the Mid-Ohio Valley and be involved with the community.
