Lauren joined the WTAP news team in October 2008 as a weekday reporter and weekend weather anchor. Lauren is excited to be in the Mid-Ohio Valley and being near her many relatives.
Lauren grew up in the small loving town of Bethany West Virginia. She's a graduate of West Liberty State College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications and Broadcasting. In her college career, Lauren was involved with the college news station WLTV 14 where she worked as a reporter, anchor, director and producer for the news. Lauren also worked as a staff writer for the college newspaper and was the President of the National Broadcast Society.
Lauren knew that television was the place for her when she worked as a summer intern in Washington D.C. for the PBS show To The Contrary. Before coming to WTAP Lauren worked as a production assistant with Comcast Spotlight in Pittsburgh PA and also worked as a radio production associate with KOOL 105.5 and JACK FM 100.5 in Belaire, OH.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys swimming, being outdoors, reading, going to the theatre and spending time with friends and family. Lauren is happy to be a part of the WTAP family and to serve the Mid-Ohio Valley.
