Charleston, WV (AP) -- The "Open For Business" signs are coming down.

On Sunday, West Virginia Division of Highways crews will begin changing the slogan on highway welcome signs back to "Wild and Wonderful."

Department of Transportation Secretary Paul Mattox says crews will start with four signs in Cabell and Mason counties. They are among 27 major entry signs and the work should be done by Memorial Day.

About 80 smaller signs should be completed by the end of June.

The "Open For Business" slogan was put on the welcome signs two years ago as a way to encourage investment in West Virginia, but it wasn't well received.

People who voted in an online and telephone poll last fall selected "Wild and Wonderful."

Does this mean that WV is now closed for business? I guess everyone has to go else where to do there business other then WV, because WV ecomony has closed down. Better save up your money because gas prices are still raising and to travel to other states will be expensive. Now that WV is closed for buisness. Maybe we are in a recession in WV. Better take those cerified business location signs down as well, Now that WV is closed.
