You may have missed out on seeing your family this holiday season due to a struggling economy.
And your not alone, Triple A says fewer travelers hit the roads, railways and the airways this Thanksgiving.
And even though national travel this holiday weekend was down.
The West Virginia Welcome Center in Williamstown had one of it's busiest days.
Mother of three Tara Venditti has made The West Virginia Welcome Center an annual pit stop for her family, "We come this way often and we find it's just a nice place. It's a six hour drive for us so this is right at one of those two hour markers for us. It's a nice facility, so it gives us a good break for that 10-15 minutes we get to stop."
The West Virginia Welcome Center has seen an influx of people coming in and out and the reason for this is not only being because of the holiday weekend but also because of, low gas prices.
Traveler Dean Cox talks about how low gas prices have helped, "It's wonderful, I mean it's half price of what it would have been a few months ago. So it made it great traveling. I think it's good for the economy to keep the price down."
With gas prices up or down, these people are willing to drive that extra mile.
