Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday after an accident that left two cars in a church's front yard.

The accident happened on Main Street in Belpre.

Witnesses said one driver turned out of Third Street, going the wrong way on a one way road, and struck the car driving south on Main Street.

The cars both ended up in the Belpre Congregational Church's front yard.

A seventeen year old boy and Debra Cunningham were taken to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.

Cunningham was shaken about the accident, "I wasn't going very fast...there was no way to stop or do anything. "

Both people in the accident were treated and released.

Belpre Police gave two citations to the teenage boy for failure to yield to the right of way and going the wrong direction on the street.
