Legislators, faculty and students came together to celebrate 20 years of West Virginia University at Parkersburg on Wednesday.
WVU-P President Marie Foster Gnage said the institution focused on increasing enrollment and keeping tuition down throughout the years.
Gnage said that WVU-P has had the lowest to third lowest cost of tuition throughout the state, and WVU-P is the fifth largest institution in West Virgina.
Gnage said she is also excited for the next 20 years.
"So, what I would hope that we can expand the programs we offer, but we would also do it in a cost that recognizes access, "said Gnage.
WVU-P is currently in its summer session and will be finished in the beginning of August.
