The Wood County Sheriff's Department has a new hotline that residents can call in and give anonymous information.
Deputies ask that when you call, try to leave as much information as possible regarding who, what, when, where, how and why the activity might be occurring.
"My experience in federal law enforcement showed me that having many ways and means for citizens to contact law enforcement is very important, " said Sheriff Jeff Sandy.
This hotline number does not replace 911.
The hotline is paid for by the concealed weapon holders of the county.
The number is 304-834-3909.
