Parkersburg police say Jason Anthony Blankenship fled from officers early Tuesday morning.

The chase started on 7th Street near the Latrobe Street intersection.

Officers attempted to pull Blankenship over for speeding, but his car got stuck on railroad tracks, so he took off running on foot.

Officers called for assistance from Fedor, the department's canine.

Fedor tracked the scent of Blankenship to a hole he was hiding in.

Blankenship is charged with felony fleeing while driving under the influence. He posted a 5 thousand dollar bond. If convicted, he faces 3-10 years in jail.
