Congratulations to the latest recipient of the Larry Simmons Student Athlete of the Week Award, Parkersburg High's Matt Newlon. The senior captain is the quarterback on the Big Reds. He also plays basketball and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He carries a 3.75 grade point average.

Is a member of student council and is nominated for the National Honor Society. Has a grade point average of 3.75. All around great kid. Had 200 yrd last night and 3 touch downs.
