The Ohio River is about to get it's annual spring cleaning.
The 18th annual Ohio River Sweep will cruise back into the Valley on Saturday, June 16th.
It's one of the largest cleanup efforts of its kind, encompassing 3,000 miles of shoreline from Pittsburgh to Illinois.
This year's Ohio River Sweep kicks off on Saturday, June 16th at 9 am.
Anyone can volunteer to help clean the shores of the Ohio River, just come to either Point Park in Parkersburg or the Williamstown Boat Landing on the morning of the sweep.
All volunteers must sign a waiver and will receive a free t-shirt for making a difference in the quality of the Ohio River.
