A Winter Storm Warning for snow is in effect from 5 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Thursday. Snow will overspread the region Tuesday morning. Some of the snow may mix with rain or freezing rain on Tuesday, especially in West Virginia. Snow totals could be 5-to-8 inches by Wednesday night.

This Afternoon: Snow before 1pm, then rain. High near 36. Southeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 8pm. Low around 20. South wind 7 to 14 mph becoming west. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday: Snow likely and areas of blowing snow. Cloudy, with a high near 26. Breezy, with a west wind between 13 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Areas of blowing snow and a chance of snow showers before 1am, then a slight chance of snow showers after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 19. West wind between 10 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. West wind between 9 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
