With a 90-degree weekend barely behind us, the MOV has turned to more seasonable condition to start the work week.
High humidity and high temperatures arrived this weekend, courtesy of Hurricane IKE lifting the moisture off the gulf of Mexico and carrying it northward.
As the downgraded low pressure system picked up speed to rocket northward, the heat stayed with us through the weekend.
But as the low passed us by, the winds began to shift, and strong gusty winds dropped in temperature and humidity levels just in time for sunset on Sunday.
Relatively cool conditions continued Monday and into Tuesday before the high pressure canadian air begins to moderate and heat up by week's end.
