Through his serenading and country ways, Zach stole our hearts during his Wednesday's Child shoot in March.
So it came as no surprise to hear that after spending just one day with a new foster family, they wanted to call him their own.
"We've had our one daughter for 11 years. When Zach came that night, it was if he had been there the whole 11 years. It was quite amazing. We knew he was there, and he was there to stay," Zach's new mom, Dana, says
"This became a perfect fit right away. I've always wanted a son, and now I've got one," Zach's new dad, Charles, says.
Armed with a dad that takes him camping, a mom to wrap his arms around, and a little sister to monkey around with, Zach says his life couldn't get any better.
Even sister Katie, who was an only child before, isn't upset about sharing the spotlight.
"It feels better because we've become closer as a family and I have someone to play with," she says.
Zach calls out, "I want to show you this, Mommy!"
The simple little word that comes so easy. Dana and Charles say each time he calls out to them, it feels natural and amazing.
"It was like the piece of the puzzle that was missing for years," Dana says.
But now the missing piece is there, making this family complete. And this one sweet little boy is finally ready to let go and enjoy the ride.
Dana and Charles also encourage anyone who may be thinking about adopting, to start as a foster parent and go from there.
