Predictable? I don't think so. Anything I would have guessed about Jessica's personality couldn't have been more wrong.
Starting with the obvious, the bright red hair. No stereotype here though. If this girl has anything fiery about her attitude, it remains to be seen.
"She's very lovable. She's one of those kids that you take note of right when you come in the room because she's a little red head girl. She's very sweet," Clinical Coordinator Sherry Faulk says.
She's also very camera shy, but don't let that fool you. Jessica has lots to say and is no wallflower.
"She very much likes to spend time with people, likes a lot of attention from people. She loves to just sit down and talk to people, loves to play games, board games, that kind of thing," Faulk says.
Another favorite?
"High school musical," Jessica says. OK, so that one is no surprise.
But she's no girly-girl. This tomboy loves the great outdoors. Swinging, riding bikes, or playing with her pet pigs, yep pigs, this gal doesn't mind getting her hands dirty.
And I would have never guessed what she wants to be when she grows up.
"Fire truck driver," she says.
Do you want to fight the fires too, I ask. "Fight the fires too!"
Maybe it's the fact that she fights tougher battles than others, but Jessica doesn't do anything half-way.
"She wants to be involved in a family, and she tries very hard to be involved," Faulk says.
She's just waiting for the right folks to come along and scoop her up, and offer her a kind of love that is a little more predictable than she is.
