Thirteen and freckle faced, this gorgeous gal has shy eyes that simply light up when she smiles.
Behind those eyes, is a bright mind whirling with creativity.
When we met at City Park, Amber was quick to share her art supplies, but not quite as quick to shed her shyness, especially in front of our camera
"She can be quiet sometimes but once she opens up, we just laugh the whole time we are together. She's fun to go shopping with, to go out to eat with, she loves animals. She's just a very sweet little girl," Social Worker Becky Mcintyre says.
And though sitting in class isn't her favorite, she says at least one thing comes as easy as ABC.
"i only have one, spelling," Amber says.
"She does good in school and her teachers have nothing but positive things to say about her," Becky says.
She doesn't brag, or show off, but with a little prompting and my own embarrassing attempt, Amber can cartwheel her way right into your heart.
That's about all for the interview too, as Amber doesn't always want to be the center of attention, unless it's the loving attention of mom and dad.
She'd like a pair of parents who are a little older, like grandparents, or just a family full of females.
"I really want a mom and a sister, and that's about it," she says.
A younger sister to be exact, but the most important thing amber is starving for, well it's easy to see.
"Maybe i can feel a little bit of love maybe," she says.
A little bit of love for a West Virginia girl through and through, hoping these country roads will take her to a home and a place where she belongs.
