Wednesday's Child for me is supposed to be work but if you count playing skee-ball at Chuck E Cheese as work, count me in any day.

What is work, however, is trying to get ten-year old Mary and twelve-year old Hazi to open up with the camera rolling. So we had to draw in their social worker, Becky McIntyre, to do all the talking.

"Hazi and Mary are both very shy when they first get to know you. They are a little hesitant to open up however they open up to you, if they see you coming they will come running to give you a hug," she says.

The hugs did come later, but first the girls were ready to tackle their tokens, and were more than willing to make sure I had plenty to play with too.

The sharing doesn't end with some fake gold coins, these two enjoy a bond that quite possibly goes well beyond their years.
Their young eyes have seen a lot, and have had their trust broken before.
That's part of what makes them cling tight to each other, and why Hazi's mothering instincts have already kicked in.
"She's a good mother role to her younger sister. If her sister is misbehaving she'll correct her and if her sister is scared, she will try to make her feel better," Becky says.

But it's not just Mary who needs guidance.
Both these young gals need someone to have fun with, to look up to, and to trust.
But the big ticket to their hearts, is someone who will open up their arms and offer a reassuring hug.
"They need a family with patience that's very loving and nurturing. That's what they want somebody who';s going to accept them for who they are," Becky says.

Accepting them for who they are, and helping them grow into who they will become.
