Abby came to WTAP-TV in September 2003 as the producer and anchor of our brand new WTAP at Five newscast. The University of Arizona graduate eventually became co-producer and co-anchor of WTAP News at Six and WTAP News at Eleven. Abby took charge of our “Come Home” franchise, hosted coverage of President Bush’s visits to Parkersburg, interviewed then-Democratic Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards and moderated WTAP’s first-ever live mayoral debate.

Abby left WTAP-TV for WBIR-TV in Knoxville, where she served first as a weekend news anchor and reporter. Later, she became the station's morning news anchor. From there, she went to WKYC-TV in Cleveland. After spending time in Cleveland, she returned to Knoxville to serve as WBIR-TV's morning co-anchor.
