JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - Authorities charged a Jackson County with impersonating a police officer and other charges after an incident Tuesday night near Fairplain.

Christopher N. Braley, 52, was arrested after sheriff’s deputies responding to a 911 call reported finding him “very inebriated,” according to a post on the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Braley was believed to have been involved in a DUI incident involving children and then a subsequent argument with the children’s parents in which he allegedly identified himself as a law-enforcement officer, the post said.

He remains in the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.

In addition, impersonating a police officer, authorities charged him with driving under the influence and battery on a police officer.

Additional charges are possible, the sheriff’s office said.
