Obituary: JoAnn Forrester

JoAnn Forrester, 83, of Vienna, WV, went home to be with Jesus on December 28, 2020 after a brief battle with pneumonia and COVID.

JoAnn was born February 10, 1937 to Blondena Urith Cale. She leaves behind one son Franklin D. Cale (Patti) of Dalton, GA and one daughter Rebecca J. Workman of Vienna, WV, two granddaughters, Jennifer Ruble (Mike) of Walker, WV and Elaina Cale (Alex) of Dalton, GA and four great-grandchildren, Logan and Addison Ruble of Walker, WV and Greyson and Liam Beekman of Dalton, GA.

JoAnn worked for many years as a floral designer at Dudley’s Florist then later at Obermeyer’s Florist. JoAnn loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren whom she cherished. JoAnn was a member of Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her church family and friends. JoAnn spent a great deal of time with her close friend Carol Alkire and Carol’s entire family that she loved dearly.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother, three sons, John-Edward Workman, Joseph Ray Workman and Samuel Alan Workman, her first husband Fred R. Workman and her second husband Louis P. Forrester.

Due to COVID a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
